The trixbox Appliance from Fonality (News - Alert), an open source telephony company, has been named a 2007 TMC Labs Innovation Award winner from Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC).

 

The trixbox Appliance was created for trixbox and Asterisk (News - Alert) resellers, as well as IT professionals and is an enterprise class telephony appliance based on trixbox.

 

Beyond providing users with high-quality phone calls with VoIP, digital and analog connectivity options, the trixbox Appliance comes pre-loaded, tested and configured with the latest version of trixbox. The trixbox Appliance is designed to scale well beyond what most other Asterisk-based appliances can support. The Appliance offers standard dual RAID disks in every box as well as an option to upgrade to dual power supplies and capacity for up to 48 analog lines. The Appliance is targeted at businesses with five to 500 employees and can be acquired to use with analog, VoIP or E1/T1.
