CipherOptics Releases CipherEngine Policy and KeyManager for Layer 2 Networks

CipherOptics, a provider of network-wide encryption, has announced the release of CipherEngine Policy and KeyManager for Layer 2 networks. This solution helps organizations protect their data when it travels over Layer 2 networks with no disturbances in performance, operations or applications.
CipherEngine suits those organizations which migrate to Metro Ethernet from traditional SNA, Frame Relay
or other legacy technologies.

The encryption solution offers capabilities like setting up an encryption policy based on VLAN as well as offers support for multicast and point-to-multi-point or mesh policies on Ethernet networks.
